}} Evgeny Andreevich Tishchenko (Евгений Андреевич Тищенко; born 15 July 1991 in Kanevskaya, Krasnodar Krai, Russia) is a Russian amateur boxer in the heavyweight category. He won gold at the 2015 World Championships and at the 2015 European Championships. He is also a two time Russian National champion. == Career == Tishchenko was born in the village district of Kanevskaya, Krasnodar Krai, but later moved permanently to Belgorod. He actively began boxing while studying in the 5th grade. He is trained under the sports school of Ivan Levichev. At the school level, he did not show significant results, the best achievement was a prize in the championship of the Southern Federal District. Tishchenko became a member of the Russian National Team in 2009 and began achieving national and international results. He won the light heavyweight weight category in the youth championship of Russia, took the first prize at an international tournament in Croatia, and then won the Youth European Championships in Szczecin. He began competing seniors in 2010 and twice received bronze medals at the Russian National Championships, losing the semifinals to Egor Mekhontsev in 2010 and to Nikita Ivanov in 2011. In addition, he took gold in the Youth European Championships U23 in Kaliningrad. In 2012, Tishchenko became the Russian National champion in heavyweight category.
